‘every element is thoughtfully considered as part of a coherent and sculptural whole’

2026 will see the arrival of the K-BRIQ in London’s Soho in an exciting hospitality project with Box 9, a multi-disciplinary architectural and design practice which seeks the most elegant, refined and restrained design solutions.

Their latest project will be built almost entirely from the Chapman Burnt Orange K-BRIQs and K-SLIPs, made of close to 100% waste content from construction and demolition waste.

“As we dive deeper into the world of beautiful waste materials, we continue to uncover true gems,” says co-founder Lou Davies at Box 9.  “Kenoteq have developed a durable, high-performance building material. Longevity is key for our restaurant clients and finding something this beautiful and built to last was no easy task”.

“Kenoteq’s work does exactly that,” continues Lou, “engineered to perfection, visually stunning and completely circular.  The materials we choose must strike a balance between beauty, technical excellence and crucially align with our mission to build better”.

Kenoteq is thrilled to be working alongside the best of hospitality design expertise with a small deeply committed team who take a holistic, purpose-driven approach—ensuring every element is thoughtfully considered as part of a coherent and sculptural whole.  It is also great to have the client fully on board with the concept too, driving sustainability across their restaurant design and operation as well as their tantalising menus.

The new palette for this project is nearly complete, with the K-BRIQ and K-SLIP featuring alongside other striking materials from Diespeker and Pyrolave UK.  We can’t wait to share more news on this unique restaurant and its launch in 2026, stay tuned!
